Joyful Mother

He settles the barren woman in her home as a Joyful Mother of children. Psalm 113:9

Dieting

The dieting season is coming up very soon! I am talking about that time that is after Christmas - just in time for New Years Resolutions. If you are in the market for diet supplements, then check out this link. Be sure you do it as healthy as you can so that added extra weight won't come back! If you lose it too quickly, as soon as you indulge even a little bit the pounds will start packing back on - so be safe!

Office Furniture

This is the time of year to buy office furniture! Yes, office furniture! You'll find the best deals now that it is close to Christmas so if you have been waiting to furnish your home office, maybe you should do a little looking around - or at least put it on your wish list so your loved ones can get you what you want! I love looking at office furniture and would love to go crazy buying everything I wanted to organize my office!

No Computer

I have been without my computer for over a month now. If you recall, I went through something similar almost a year ago at this time. Since it was still under warranty we took it in. We have to order a cord first, which I did and when it comes in I will take the computer in. They told me that it may cost more to fix the computer than it's worth and if that's the case, they would give me a new one. that would be nice I guess but I just want my computer back! Hey, anyone want to get me a jura coffee machine for Christmas? I wouldn't complain about it!

Looking

I am always on the look out for new and unusual Christmas gifts. How about Dansko shoes? I think they would be a good gift. I would love for someone to give me good quality shoes for a gift. Of course you'd have to make sure you knew their size ahead of time but that shouldn't be too hard to figure out. That's the kind of question you could ask in casual conversation without giving anything a way. Yep, I think it is a good idea.

Insurance

So, we've used the same insurance agent for 16 years. Do you think that's wise? I think we've probably just done it out of convenience. But I have checked other life insurance quotes and I have no idea if we are getting a good rate or not. Same goes with auto and house. I think in the new year I should do some reviewing to see if we are getting the best possible rate. That sounds like a good resolution. What do you think?

Weight Loss

Well, I've lost a little weight this week. I'm not sure yet why. I am sure it is not because of appetite suppressants and I haven't been dieting. I think I will have to keep a close eye on the whole dialysis thing and make sure that I'm not getting dehydrated. I did once and it was no fun at all. I felt miserable! I sure would like to lose some pounds though!

Ice Breakers

I am addicted to sugar free Ice Breakers! I carry a container of these mints around with me constantly and buy a new one almost everyday. I think it has to do with the dialysis and the constant dry mouth. My mom says she ate a lot of crushed ice when she was on dialysis. At least they are sugar free, right? If you are vacationing in Canada, be sure to check out the Toronto hotels for a real treat!

Christmas Gifts

Have you made your gift lists? I have yet to start but I will any day now! I think I would love to have some Kipling luggage for a gift. You ought to check them out.

I also have some simple things on my list - like cannisters - I want some cannisters for Christmas! I have been in the baking mood lately and would love to go wild in a kitchen store!

Vacation

If you were given the gift of an all inclusive vacation and YOU got to choose where you were going, where would you pick?

I would choose the beach. The boys have never been and there is just something about staring out over the ocean. You get such a sense of how small you are and how big this world really is. It would be nice to go somewhere warm too. Yeah, I think I would pick the beach - but don't expect me to put on a bathing suit!

Ping Pong

Do you have ping pong tables on your wish list? I would love to have one although there is no room for it in our house. I have very fond memories of playing ping pong when I was in college. Most of my fond college memories doesn't involve college at all! I would play ping pong at the Baptist Student Union with my friend Byron and it was almost always to the tunes of Phil Collins "Sussudio"! Those were the days! I wish we had a basement - I would defintely have a ping pong table!
