Joyful Mother

He settles the barren woman in her home as a Joyful Mother of children. Psalm 113:9

Vacation

If you were given the gift of an all inclusive vacation and YOU got to choose where you were going, where would you pick?

I would choose the beach. The boys have never been and there is just something about staring out over the ocean. You get such a sense of how small you are and how big this world really is. It would be nice to go somewhere warm too. Yeah, I think I would pick the beach - but don't expect me to put on a bathing suit!

Ping Pong

Do you have ping pong tables on your wish list? I would love to have one although there is no room for it in our house. I have very fond memories of playing ping pong when I was in college. Most of my fond college memories doesn't involve college at all! I would play ping pong at the Baptist Student Union with my friend Byron and it was almost always to the tunes of Phil Collins "Sussudio"! Those were the days! I wish we had a basement - I would defintely have a ping pong table!

Last Week

Last week I could feel my house slipping away.  What I mean by that is that I was no longer maintaining it and I was getting farther behind.  The boys are really good about helping me but like most kids I am sure, they are not doing much more than they have to and cleaning up after then was driving me nuts.  We had a little talk and I set in to cleaning up their bedroom.  I got rid of some clothes because they have too many play clothes and Jonathan especially likes to change clothes often and throw the clean ones in the laundry therefore making too much laundry for me.  I pushed myself a bit these last few days but it was okay.  I had to take the day off today to rest but I feel like the house is more in control.  Well, that is all for me - before I sign off I wanted to share Anilox roll with you. I hope it is helpful.

Thanksgiving

I can't believe it is halfway through November already. This year has truly gone by faster than any other in remembrance but really, how can that be? Before you know it Thanksgiving will be here and then Black Friday. I never go shopping the day after Thanksgiving because I can't handle the crowds and even if I could, I know that this year my bone spur in my heel wouldn't be able to handle it. I never have enough money to do my shopping at one time to make it worth it. I prefer to do my shopping online!

Computers

Well, I have been without my laptop for about a week now and oddly enough, I haven't missed it as much as I thought I would.  There are times that I start to go to my computer to look something up or need to pay a bill and that is a pain but otherwise I'm doing okay until we get it repaired like a bell tv. I was using it one afternoon and heard a popping sound and smelled smoke and then that was all she wrote! I am hoping that one day this week we will get to take it into Best Buy. It is still under warranty until April so I am hoping that it will take care of it.

NY

My sister Jennifer was the first of our sisters to get married. She and her husband moved to Watertown NY just North of Syracuse. I don't know if they ever had a chance to visit any Syracuse italian restaurants or not. I think I would like to try all sorts of new places if I moved that far away.

It was hard having her live so far away, especially when she got pregnant with my first niece! Now Sara is 19 and is expecting her first little girl early next year. She is going to name her Abigail which is kind of special to me because that is the name we had picked out if we ever had girls. It just seems right that there is going to be an Abigail in the family.

Football

I've never been all that big into sports. I mean when I was in school, I enjoyed playing basketball and enjoyed going to basketball games and the occasional football games - but I did not enjoy watching these sports on television. I have been noticing especially this time of the year that sports is just about all you are going to find on Tv. Ugh! I mean it's not as bad as getting a colon cleanse but come on - all weekend long? It's not as bad during basketball season since I do enjoy it but the other? I can take it or leave it - and most often leave it.

TV This Fall

What are your favorite shows this fall? There are a number of new shows but I haven't found any that I particularly must see. Well, the hubby likes Flash Forward but I can take it or leave it. My favorites are House, Heroes, Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. The rest I can take or leave - pretty much how I could take or leave a diet pill.

I used to really enjoy Friday Night Lights but I haven't seen it on this fall. I loved Prison Break but it is over now. I guess I really like my old favorites the best. Sure as you start liking a new one, they'll take it off the air.

Addicted

I am addicted to mints. More specifically I am addicted to wintergreen sugar free Ice Breakers mints. Do you think the best diet pills could help that? I am wondering if it is a symptom of kidney disease? I know it sounds crazy. My mom used to crunch ice all the time before she had her transplant. I like the mints okay but what I really like is crunching them. I break off one little at a time a crunch it until it is all gone. I sure would like to hear if anyone else has ever experienced anything like this. At least they are sugar free, right?

Making The Bed

Do you make your bed?  How often?  That's is today's question of the day.  Seriously, doesn't everyone make their bed?  I will admit I don't make it up every single day but when I am having a good day, it is the very first thing that gets done.  What kind of bedding do you have on your bed?  We have a brown comforter that is more of a chocolate color.  It appeals to me and it doesn't seem too girly for my hubby.  Now, if you want something manly for your bedroom, be sure to check out these wireless alarms. They would make Tim the Tool Man proud!
