The Plan...
So, I'm taking a break from the packing and prepping for the move on Sunday. Today I am wiped out. By tonight though I will see a lot of progress and tomorrow will be tying up loose ends so there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I've been pondering my summer plan for a few weeks now...I still don't have it solid-but I have the outline and will build from there.
Oh, you wanna hear about it? :)
Super Summer Plan (May 21-Sept.21)
1. computer time-drastically changing. I can honestly say I don't spend hours and hours a day online--but I also don't feel like I always spend my time well. This summer I will be toying with a different schedule. All puter time will be done when the children are not awake. Meaning early mornings or late evenings. ... maybe during quiet time.
2. going organic-starting with milk (which I don't drink-but my kiddos do) and then working into buying local or organic as much as is possible.
3. back to running--I got 4 weeks into the couch to 5k training before my parents visit and then finding out about the move. Once we are in New Mexico the training starts again. Donald (who is already a runner) is running a 5K in July. I am running my FIRST 5K in September.
4. 35 lbs gone-I will lose 35 lbs in the four months, period. the end. :)
5. Exercising daily-yes I'll be running/training, but I also will incorporate exercise by example to my kiddos.
6. Water-and lots of it. I will not make some CRAZY pledge to give up diet coke or any nonsense as that. I also won't say it's good for me or that splenda or nutrasweet are healthy additives, mmm K. But my water intake will far exceed soda intake...as in I"m thinking of making soda my ''couple a weekend'' treats. :)
7. Summer in the Psalms--Easy enough. My daddy actually did this several years ago at his church. He spent Wednesday nights during the summer in Psalms. I'm following that...spending time in Psalms daily and even copying some into a journal/notebook I'll buy just for that purpose.
8. Memorizing scripture-this will be with the kids and the theme is going to be ''Summer Lovin'' and we will focus on scriptures on love, loving each other, loving God, living a life of love...
9. SPF ...every day, e.v.e.r.y.d.a.y. EVERYDAY [overall I'm pretty good about this for me [I am anal about it with the kiddos]--but this year I want it to become part of my summer routine]
10.praying like Jabez--heh, you know that whole big trend a few years ago, well yeah, but not exactly like that. I mean I don't think we tell God what we want/expect and He jumps right on it and all that... I just want to get back into daily, intentional realationship and conversation with my Savior.I have several specific areas where I want to see God move or hear God answer...I have to be part of that conversation.
So that's the jist. Nothing terribly drastic or wild...but 10 things that at the end of the four months will have made a tremendous difference. :)
Sounds like a great plan!!

I know I'm usually behind the power curve, but what is SPF? I think your goals look great and realistic!

SPF=sun protection factor.
In my 'old age' I am becoming a bit more careful about taking care of my skin. I didn't use it as a teen and laid in tanning beds. My 20's found me having babies and not doing much sunning. Now that we are active and outside a lot ...I want to have some protection.
